Abstract

This purpose of this study was to determine the degradation pattern of Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF) on three of swamp grasses Kumpai Tembaga (Hymenachne acutigluma), Kumpai Minyak (Hymenachne amplexicaulis) dan Kumpai Padi (Oryza rupifogon) on swamp buffalo by in sacco. This research was conducted from February to June 2020 at the Experimental Laboratory and Animal Nutrition and Forage Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Departement, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method, with 3 treatments and 3 replications. The values of fractions a, b, and c on the three types of grass showed differences (P <0.05). Based on the results of these study it could be concluded that the pattern of degradation of each swamp grass shows a difference where the three types of swamp grass have increased. The easily degraded a fraction was kumpai tembaga which had the highest value (32.23%), kumpai minyak (22.01%), and the lowest was kumpai padi (19.47%), while fraction b which was The fraction that has the potential to be degraded, kumpai padi (62.13%) had the highest value when compared to kumpai minyak (35.82%) and kumpai tembaga (32.32%), and c fraction the highest value was found on kumpai minyak grass (0.10%). The highest ADF degradation was found on kumpai padi 78.02%, but kumpai minyak and kumpai tembaga has the same value (57, 30%) at 48 hours incubation time
