Abstract

PT Citra Tobindo Sukses Perkasa (PT CTSP) is a mining company in Indonesia which is engaged in coal mining. PT Citra Tobindo Sukses Perkasa is located in Sarolangun Regency, Jambi Province. This company has an IUP covering an area of 200 hectares. The purpose of this study was to determine the sediment model of coal, to help carry out mining planning. This research method is carried out by collecting data in the field which is based on related literatures then processed by calculations. In this study, there are 72 drill points scattered in the IUP area with drilling spacing between 40 meters to 125 meters. From the drill data, it is known that there are two coal seams, namely coal seam A, seam BC. This research was conducted with import and process survey data, drill data and topographic data with Minescape 5.7 software. The calculation of coal resources is distributed into each block in the sediment model that has been made. The coal sediment model located in the IUP area of PT Citra Tobindo Sukses Perkasa has a position towards the west-northwest with a sloping distribution pattern to the west of 5o-15o. In calculating coal resources using Minescape 5.7 software, the seam A resource is 3.566.971.15 tons, and BC seam is 13.503.334.84 tons and seam D was 1.130.453.55.
