Abstract

Association Rule are rules that can know the item combination of occurrence of multiple attributes in a database. Association rule needs of algorithm that can search item frequency, one of the algorithms that can be used is a priori algorithm that can form frequent items sets using association techniques. The a priori algorithm forms candidate combinations of items which will then be tested to produce the minimum support and minimum confidence parameters. The purpose of this final task is to know the effect of apriori algorithm in association rules in forming candidate items. The conclusion of this thesis is a priori algorithm is able to search the item frequency association rule so that it can identify goods purchased simultaneously that can be utilized by the store owner in providing the goods needed and use to set the layout of goods.
