Abstract

The Research of 2D Resistivity method using the Wenner-Schlumberger configuration to determine the effect of soil density, water spraying and NPK fertilization on soil resistivity value . The research container was made of wood with dimensions of 2 m x 1 m x 0.44 m divided into 4 parts and named as G1, P1, G2 and P2 with a medium of top soil (surface soil). In tub G1 the soil is inserted without compaction and then given watering. In the tub P1 is given the soil by compacting and then given watering. Whereas in the tub G2 the soil is inserted without compaction then NPK fertilizer is applied, and the tub P2 soil is added by compacting and applying NPK fertilizer. The results showed that in the initial conditions (without treatment) the soil resistivity values in the tub G1, P1, G2 and P2 respectively 205 - 655 Ωm; 105 - 655 Ωm; 205 - 605 Ωm; and 155 - 605 Ωm. After treatment in the form of watering and NPK fertilization, the soil resistivity values in the tub G1, P1, G2 and P2 decreased 155 - 605 Ωm; 55 - 605 Ωm; 5 - 405 Ωm; and 5 - 205 Ωm. This is because water and NPK fertilizer solution are electrolyte. On the measurement of H + 1 week after treatment the soil resistivity values begin to increase 175 - 655 Ωm; 75 - 605 Ωm; 55 - 505 Ωm; and 55 – 305 Ωm. On H + 2 weeks measurement the soil resistivity value is 205 - 655 Ωm; 105 - 655 Ωm; 75 - 635 Ωm; 75 - 405 Ωm. On H + 3 weeks, measurement the soil resistivity values are 205-705 Ωm; 105 - 705 Ωm; 105 - 705 Ωm; 105 - 505 Ωm. The soil resistivity values increased along with time because soil moisture decreased as a consequence evaporation process.
