Abstract

This research has purposed to know internal audit performance based on balanced scorecard approach. Data analysis method was qualitative descriptive method and data collection techniques this research was interview to people who represent to answer the question about internal audit performance. The question suitable with balanced scorecard approach which adapted through GAIN (Global Audit Information Network) by Institute Internal Audit. Every question consist of four perspectives, namely: 1) Audit Committee; 2) Business Unit Management; 3) Internal Audit Process; and 4) Innovation and Capabilities. Then, every question consist of four perspectives was decided by key performance indicators and become twenty-five questions. The conclution this research was gotten by evaluation based on balanced scorecard approach that Internal Control Unit PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang have good performance because they have given benefit on its four perspectives.
