Abstract

This study was aimed to observe effect of long period immersion hydropriming on Early growth rice under submergence strees conditions. This study began in Februari to April 2018 in soaking tub and greenhouse Agriculture Faculty Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. This reseach used Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 3 replications, so that the total number of 15 experimental unit. The treatment is H0: no hydropriming no submergence strees conditions, H1: no hydropriming and submergence strees conditions, H2: 12 hour hydropriming and submergence strees conditions, H3: 24 hour hydropriming and submergence strees conditions, H4: 36 hour hydropriming and submergence strees conditions. The result showed that hydropriming submergence strees condition increased of comparated with no hydropriming submergence strees conditions of 7, 14 and 21 day after planting. Treatment 12 hour hydropriming increased of high seedling 7 and 14 day after planting, long root 14 day after planting, number of leaves 14 and 21 day after planting, fresh weight seedlings and root, dry weight seedlings and root, chlorophyll in soaking tub and dry weight root in greenhouse.
