Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of chicken manure dosages and NPK fertilizer to the growth and yield of eggplant. The study was conducted from November 2018 until February 2019 at Bukit Baru, Palembang. Method used in this research was factorial randomized block design with 9 treatments and 3 replications, comprising of 27 treatment units. Each treatment unit consisted of 3 plants which total up to 81 plants. There were two factors, the first factor consisted of 3 treatments of chicken manure dosages, they were; 10 ton ha-1 (A1), 20 ton ha-1 (A2) and 30 ton ha-1 (A3). The second factor consisted of 3 treatments of NPK fertilizer dosages, they were; 300 kg ha-1 (N1), 400 kg ha-1 (N2) and 500 kg ha-1 (N3). The results showed that combination of chicken manure and NPK fertilizer was not significantly different to all variables. The best treatment for chicken manure was on dosage of 20 ton ha-1 and the best treatment for NPK fertilizer was on 400 kg ha-1 on the growth and yield of eggplant.
