Abstract

Analysis of noise and mechanical vibration was conducted using pin mill FFC 15. The purpose of this research was to analysis noise and mechanical vibration pin mill FFC 15. This study was conducted on October 2017 to March 2018 at Laboratory Workshop and Agricultural Machinery, Department Agriculture Technology, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. This research was done using the experimental method. The noise was measured using the grid method and sound level meter. Vibration was measured at some points in pin mill FFC 15 in using vibration meter. The observed parameters were the noise and vibration. The level of noise was describel in on surf map using “Software Surfer 11 program”, which generated a contour of noise. The measured vibration at presented in form of graphs. Based on the results at pin mill FFC 15, the highest level of noise was at operator position was 87.7 dB with engine rotation of 3500 rpm, whereas the lowest level of noise 81.5 dB with engine rotation of 2500 rpm. The highest level of noise from pin mill FFC 15 of 91.5 dB with engine rotation of 3000 rpm, whereas the lowest level of noise of 78.6 dB with the engine rotation of 2500 rpm. The highest level of vibration was found at the floor of 38.3 m/s2 with the engine rotation of 3500 rpm.
