Abstract

Permanent magnit making is done by mixing BaFe12O19 magnetic powder with binder which is non-magnet. Magnetic powder magnit Iron (III) Chloride Hexahydrate (FeCl3 * 6H2O) and Barium Carbonate (BaCo3). While the binder is a glue celuna. Answers to the composition of FeCl3 * 6H2O magnetic powders with BaCo3 (mass%) 94.27: 5.73 of the total mass of 50 grams and mixing FeCl3 * 6H2O with details of Aquades and ammonia ratio of 1: 1. After mixing FeCl3 * 6H2O then do pouring and mixing of FeCl3 * 6H2O and BaCo3 powder powder, then compacted with hydrolic press, using 20 mm diameter mold with pressure 8 ton, with compaction time for 1 minute. Samples that have been treated with the temperature of 1100⁰C and 1200⁰C then performed characterization of physical properties, microstructure and magnetic. Characterization of physical properties is the color that affects sintering, and density measurement. Characterization of magnetic properties includes magnetic fields. Magnetic field measurement using Gaussmeter. To find out the characterization of microstructure include crystal forms, forms and materials on BaFe12O19, Microstructure Measurement of XRD measurements. The results showed that the largest physical properties at 1100⁰C sintering temperature with Barium Hexaferit sediment samples (density of 4.1 g / cm3, compressive strength 8 kgF / cm2) with samples at 1200⁰C sintering temperature. And for optimum magnetic properties in samples with Sintering Temperature 1200⁰C (212.6 Gauss magnetic field strength in commercial samples) and largest crystal size at 1100⁰C (Crystallization 24,82389 nm) and the phase and peak yield of XRD states that Barium Hexaferys are already formed.
