Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF EXPLICIT INSTRUCTION LEARNING MODELS ON THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF STUDENTS IN ECONOMIC LESSONS IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL NUMBER 2 PALEMBANG Oleh Erna Damayanti NIM. 06031381621052 Pembimbing : (1) Drs. Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi Abstract This study aims to prove the effect of the Explicit Instruction learning model on student learning outcomes in economic subjects at Senior High School Number 2 Palembang. This research is an experimental type of research using Pre-Experimental Design in the form of One-Group Pretest- Postest. The population in this study were all class X IPS in SMA Negeri 2 Palembang. The research sample used Cluster Random Sampling, and the selected sample was class X IPS 3 as the experimental class, amounting to 40 students. The data collection techniques used were tests and observations. The test uses a test validation test while observation uses the syntax of the Exsplicit Instruction learning model. The learning process uses the Whatsapp Group and Google Meet applicat ions. The data analysis technique was the analysis of the observation data and the learning outcome test data. The prerequisite test is the pretest and posttest data normality test which obtains student learning outcomes (-7,640) on the pretest values that are normally distributed, while the posttest scores (-71.06) which means the data is normally distributed and the simple regression test is 5.94. The Pearson Product Moment correlation hypothesis test is 0.85%, which means that it has a very strong value ranging from 0.80 to 1.00. The determinant coefficient is 72.25% which affects the learning outcomes of students and the value of the t test sample related and obtained t count 13.713> 1.665 t table, then the hypothesis Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Explicit Instruction learning model on student learning outcomes in economic subjects at Senior High School Number 2 Palembang. It is recommended for students to be able to participate in the learning process actively and well so that the objectives in the learning process can be achieved optimally and are able to improve learning outcomes and for educators to better understand the material provided so that students can better master the material, so that the implementation of the learning process can be better controlled.
