Abstract

Carbaril is an active ingredient contained in a type of insecticide which is sold under the trademark Sevin 85 SP. The widespread use of carbaryl compounds in agriculture will cause more and more residues of these compounds to accumulate in the environment. The use of chemicals for a long time can damage soil fertility and disrupt the life of organisms in the soil such as earthworms. The most common earthworms found in agricultural lands is P. corethrurus Fr. Mull. The more frequent use of carbaryl compounds in agriculture will cause more and more residues of these compounds to accumulate in the environment. The results showed that the higher the concentration of sevin insecticide given to the mixture of P. corethrurus Fr.Mull earthworms, the lower the body weight, specific body weight and survival rate of earthworm P. corethrurus Fr. Mull. The average body weight of P. corethrurus Fr. earthworms. The highest yield of mull was given in the form of a mixture of cow feces with various concentrations of insecticide Sevin 0%, namely 0.85 ± 0.30 g / individual / week while the lowest was the insecticide concentration of 0.5% sevin, namely 0.14 ± 0.04. gram/individual/week. The average specific body weight of the earthworm Pontoscolex corethrurus Fr. Mull. The highest mull in feeding was a mixture of cow feces with a concentration of 0% sevin insecticide, namely 17.3% ± 3.6, while the lowest was at a sevin insecticide concentration of 0.5%, namely 4.4% ± 1.0. Average survival rate for P. corethrurus Fr. Mull earthworms. The highest mull in feeding was a mixture of cow feces with a concentration of 0% sevin insecticide, namely 1.00% ± 0, while the lowest was at a sevin insecticide concentration of 0.5%, namely 100%
