Abstract

This research is entitled Evaluation of the Special Service Education Filial School Program at the Class 1 Special Education Institution for Children in Palembang. All citizens are entitled to the right to education, without exception children who are experiencing a period of detention at the Special Development Institution for Children in order to realize equitable education. The purpose of this research is to evaluate and understand and know weaknesses, strengths in the implementation of the Filial School Program / Education Service Especially for the Class 1 LPKA Palembang City. The type of research that is used is descriptive qualitative research, with data collection techniques; Studies Bibliography, Observation, Documentation, and Interviews. Data analysis technique used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research using Formative Evaluation Theory by Michael Scriven. The results showed that in the process of implementing education in LPKA Class 1 Palembang City is running smooth and good, although there are still some obstacles / weaknesses in both stages pre-learning and post-learning. In the Time Dimension, show the inside the preparation of lesson hours is very far from being compared to schools in general. As a result of thislearning relatively shorttime resulted in minimal academic lessons that will be obtained by students. On the Dimension of Facilities and The infrastructure has been fulfilled and is suitable for use in teaching and learning activities (KBM), however, there are several supporting / secondary facilities and infrastructure that are not yet available. In the dimensions of teaching staff andeducation personnelpreparatoryare in accordance with Minimum Competency Standards that have been regulated in the legal basis, but on the Personnel Technician Education is not yet available. In the Management Dimension, in the implementation of objectives it can run well, the new student admission mechanism is appropriate with applicable law. But in the aspect of evaluating learning outcomes there are still constraints caused by age constraints on related students. On the Curriculum Dimensions is in accordance with the mandate of the 2013 curriculum which is regulated by the Minister of Education Regulation and Culture.
