Abstract

In order to improve health for the elderly, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia issued a Minister of Health Regulation Number 67 of 2015 concerning the Implementation of Elderly Health Services at Community Health Centers. The coverage of elderly health services in Muara Enim Regency has not been implemented optimally, therefore more intense efforts are needed to approach the community through elderly posyandu in every village which is a form of outdoor health services. This study aims to determine the performance of the implementation of posyandu service policies for elderly people in the village of Tapus, Lembak District, Muara Enim Regency using qualitative research methods. The results of this study indicate that the performance of implementing the posyandu service policy for the elderly in Tapus Village, Lembak District, Muara Enim Regency has not reached the intended target, namely increasing access and coverage of health services for the elderly. This performance is influenced by several aspects that have not been maximally implemented, namely the size and purpose of policies that do not have special rules or special decrees that regulate elderly posyandu, then in the characteristics of the implementing agency there is still a dual division of tasks, as well as facilities and infrastructure still not enough. In order to implement policies, it is better if there are rules or policies that specifically discuss in detail the implementation of these policies issued by the related agencies.
