Abstract

In this research, the design of solar tracker using four MLDR sensors to determine the position of the sunlight with a panel drive using two MG995 servo motors on the vertical and horizontal movers. This tool is equipped with arduino mega 2560 microcontroller, current sensor, voltage sensor, microSD module, RTC module, step down module, and relay. This solar tracker system works automatically with direct data storage to microSD in real time based on program on microcontroller. This study aims to be able to design automatic solar tracker and get more optimal results compared with silent solar panels. Test results indicate this tool is able to move the solar penel with a 45o-135o angle. By optimizing the resulting current by 19% compared to the silent solar cell.
