Abstract

This study was motivated by the existence of Budget Implementation Control carried out by PT PLN (Persero) the Southern Sumatra Generation Main Unit. The purpose of this study was to determine the Effectiveness of 2018 Budget Implementation Control at PT PLN (Persero) South Sumatra Power Generation Unit. This research used descriptive qualitative research methods. Sources of data obtained in this study are divided into two, namely: primary data in the form of documentation, interviews, and observations; Secondary data was obtained from related books, journals, documents, reports and other relevant reference sources. This research used control theory according to Ferli Dian Saputrain Supriyono (2000: 13). The effectiveness of 2018 Budget Implementation Control at PT PLN (Persero) South Sumatra Generation Main Unit is seen from six points; Accurate, On Time, Objective and Comprehensive, Focused on Control Points that are Strategic, Economical, and Can be Coordinated with the Flow of Organizational Work. The results of this study indicate that the control of the 2018 budget implementation is considered ineffective because of the use of the Operating Cash Budget (AKO), there are unused costs and some are reduced from the planned budget. The results of this study provide suggestions for the need to include external factors (inflation) in budgeting, so that the variance that occurs between budget and realization can be minimized even more.
