Abstract

Wilayah kerja panas bumi (geothermal) PT. Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap (PT. SERD) berjarak 225 km dari ibukota provinsi dari Sumatera Selatan, Palembang, dan terletak didalam zona pegunungan Bukit Barisan. Daerah ini dikenal sebagai salah satu daerah yang memiliki potensi panas bumi, yang ditandai dengan kehadiran beberapa manifestasi panas bumi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi panas bumi berdasarkan lineament dan alterasi hidrotermal di daerah penelitian. Dalam mengidentifikasi penyebarannya, dilakukan analisis terhadap peta geologi regional, citra Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS, dan DEM (Digital Elevation Model), serta studi pustaka terkait dari daerah penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa citra Landsat 8 dan DEM SRTM memberikan informasi relief di daerah penelitian, komposit band 4/2, 5/6, dan 6/7 memberikan informasi mengenai kehadiran batuan teralterasi. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa penginderaan jauh dapat dapat mengidentifikasi kehadiran mineral alterasi hidrotermal dari golongan ferromagnesium, ferruginasi, dan mineral kaya OH atau mineral karbonat. Dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penginderaan jauh mampu memberikan informasi mengenai potensi panas bumi pada wilayah penelitian.
