Abstract

Lubok River is a river in Gumai Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. The Lubok River is generally used by the public for fishing and also for various household activities. Overfishing and unsustainable fishing will also result in decreased abundance and diversity of fish. The purpose of the research is to determine of fish species found in Lubok River, Gumai Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. The research using survey and field observations methods. Determination of the research location using purposive sampling method. Fish samples were taken by direct method (sweaping). The data that has been obtained are then analyzed descriptively which includes the characteristics and morphology of the fish. The results of research that has been done on the inventory of fish species in the Lubok River obtained as many as 20 species of fish belonging to 9 families. The family Cyprinidae is the number of the most caught species of 7 species of fish. The conclusion of the study was that fish species caught in Lubok River of Gumai Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra, obtained as many as 20 species of fish consisting of 4 order and belonged to 9 families. The most widely caught fish species in the Lubok River comes from the Family Cyprinidae which is as many as 7 species of fish. Keywords : river, fish, species, inventory, family.
