Abstract

This research was about the role of Gapoktan on the welfare level of rice farmer in Sumbersuko Village Belitang Sub-District Ogan Komering Ulu Timur District, held in November 2020. This research aims to: (1) Determine the role of Gapoktan in Sumbersuko Village, Belitang District, OKU Timur Regency, (2) Determine the level of welfare of rice farmers in Sumbersuko Village, Belitang District, East OKU Regency, and (3) Analyze relation the role of Gapoktan on rice farmer’s welfare level in Sumbersuko Village, Belitang District, East OKU Regency. The methods used in this research was survey method and the data were collected by direct interview and distributing questionnaires to 30 rice farmers. Research indicators covered role of Gapoktan and welfare level were summarized in 9 indicators from BPS of Susenas 2011. The result showed that the role of Gapoktan in Sumbersuko Village was categorized as medium 138,47 (66,57%) and the welfare level of rice farmers were at high welfare level 23,93. From result of Rank Spearman analysis and significance tested at trust level 95%, the role of Gapoktan didn’t had correlation with welfare level of rice farmers.
