Abstract

Overburden stripping in PT Buana Eltra's pit 2 was carried out on 2 layers of soil covering the coal, namely the top soil layer and the overburden layer. The company's target for 2018 in pit 2 is 2,000,000 Bcm. For the top soil layer, it is peeled using a combination of 1 unit Kobelco SK 200 backhoe excavator serving 2 Volvo A 40 F Articulated Dump Trucks (ADT). For the overburden layer, 2 units of Komatsu PC 400 LC excavator backhoe serving 6 units of transportation are excavated. Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) Volvo A 40 F. From the results of the research, the actual production capability of the equipment on the top soil layer, namely, the Kobelco SK 200 loading digger was 104.75 Bcm/hour and the production capacity of the Volvo A 40 F haul equipment was 45,407 Bcm/hour. The overburden layer actual production capability for the Komatsu PC 400 LC is 189.49 Bcm/year and the production capability of the Volvo A 40 F conveyance is 33.476 Bcm/year. The actual production achievement is 1,505,615.124 Bcm/year, so the target has not been achieved. Based on the calculation of the need for the number of conveyances for the production target of top soil layers of 525,540 Bcm/year, the Kobelko SK 200 needed is 1 unit and 3 units of Volvo A 40 F ADT which is added 1 unit, so that the production that can be achieved is 736,094.83 Bcm./year with a working suitability value of 1.3. The need for the number of tools for the overburden layer with a production target of 1,474,460 Bcm/year is 2 units of Komatsu PC 400 LC and 11 ADT Volvo A 40 F, so that the production that can be achieved is 1,977,831.802 Bcm/year with a work compatibility value of 0.97.
