Abstract

Methicillin-resistent Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) adalah salah satu bakteriGram positif utama yang menyebabkan infeksi pada manusia dan infeksi nosokomial. Sejak MRSA pertama kali diidentifikasi pada tahun 1961, prevalensi MRSA kini mencapai 70% di dunia, sementara di Indonesia pada tahun 2006 prevalensinya mencapai 23,5%.Selain itu, dinamikatransmisi MRSA di seluruh dunia sedang berubah dengan komunitasmemainkanperan yang semakinsentral dalam penyebarannya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran umum MRSA terhadap cefoxitin pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Unsri tahap akademik dan tahap profesi.
