Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self- confidence and student achievement in SMP Negeri 33 Palembang. The data collection instrument used was the relationship between self-confidence and learning achievement. This research is a correlation study. The subjects involved in this study were 30 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 33 Palembang, namely 15 high achievement students and 15 low achievement students. Data collection techniques using a Likert scale questionnaire, which is distributed via google form. Data analysis using Product Moment Correlation formula. Based on the data analysis, the result shows that the correlation coefficient of (0.703> 0.301) means that it shows the strength and direction of a positive relationship between self- confidence and learning achievement in grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 33 Palembang.
