Abstract

A number of syariah banks have developed rapidly in the past five years as indicated by increase in financing flow. This financial is important for the banks to develop in the future. The syariah banks may play an important role to support small and middle scale entrepreneurs (SME) sector and Non-SME ’s by optimizing the revenue sharing musharakah financing. As the grassroots economics develop, public incomes also increase, therefore this condition creates public welfare. The purpose of this study was to find out how musyarakah financing on SME ’s and Non-SME ’s help the syariah banks to create their profits in Indonesia. This research used secondary data of January 2008 to December 2010 for the analysis. The OLS method was applied to geometric lag model which was due to the fact that growth of profits took time to trace. The data of actual profits were taken from the two month previous period. The results s how musyarakah financing on SME’s and Non-SME’s significantly influenced the profits of syariah banks. Musharakah financing in the SME providing greater influence on bank profitability in the bank than from Non-SME.
