Abstract

Indonesia is second ranks after India with the worst sanitation predicate. Poor access to sanitation facilities is closely related to the occurrence of various kinds of disease transmission. Public places can be a place for the spread of diseases, especially diseases which media spread from air, water, food or drink. With the number of passengers reaching 700 people for a day during the pandemic, it is important to provide sanitation facilities who qualify the requirements and implement the Covid-19 prevention protocol at the South Sumatra LRT Station. This research is to know the sanitary conditions and implementation of the Covid-19 prevention protocol at the South Sumatra LRT Station in 2020. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using an observational method. The results showed that the sanitary conditions at the South Sumatra LRT Station were categorized as already qualified the requirements, the results of the analysis of the average conditions of clean water, toilets, garbage dumps, drainage drains and dirty water were in good condition and qualified the requirements. Only 1 toilet was found to have a bad smelling condition and 2 toilets that have slippery floor conditions. The implementation of the Covid-19 protocol has been implemented at all stations, but it cannot be categorized as meeting all the requirements because distance guarding has not been implemented properly by visitors and officers at all stations. Suggestions for this research are for the South Sumatra LRT Station to provide information how to use toilets in each toilet room, increase the schedule for monitoring toilet conditions, conduct direction and supervision of cleaning officers, tighten supervision of the implementation of Covid-19 prevention protocols, and increase information media which related of the Covid-19 prevention protocol.
