Abstract

There have been studied on standardization and test of antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of tekik rod (Chromolaena odorata L). The aim of this research is to know the extract of tekelan rod powder, Minimum Barrier Concentration and standard parameters of ethanol extract of tekelan rod against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria. The antibacterial activity test was prepared for 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% (w / v) concentration of test solution. The antibacterial activity test on the optimum formula was performed by the agar diffusion method with the disc paper. The results showed that the extract ethanol extract of antibacterial inhibition to Staphylococcus Aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria at concentration of 10% and 5% of tekelan extract had inhibition zone 3,666 ± 0,535 and 3,000 ± 1,000 mm Minimum Resistance Concentration (KHM) The smallest constraint to growth is at a concentration of 5% (inhibit zone). Standardization o extract has a contain of water in range 5-30%. Organoleptic of extract should a viscious extract in brown color black, aromatic, content of matrials in ethanol-like residual was 25,02%.
