Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on the theme of my experience in grade II SD Negeri 115 Palembang by applying the SCAMPER method. This study uses a classroom action research method in three action cycles. Data collection techniques used in the form of tests, observation and documentation. Classroom action research has four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subjects in this study were students of class II B SD Negeri 115 Palembang with a total of 27 students consisting of 15 male students and 12 female students. The results of this study indicate that the success of the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle was 56%, in the second cycle it was 72%, in the third cycle the success of the students' learning outcomes reached 82.6%. The increase in student learning outcomes is also supported by the activeness of students during the learning process by applying the Exploration approach. The results of observations of the activeness of students in the first cycle were 70.3% and the results of observations of the activeness of students in the second cycle reached 73.5%, while the results of the observations of the activeness of students in the third cycle reached 81%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that applying the SCAMPER method can improve the learning outcomes of grade II students of SD Negeri 115 Palembang on the theme of my experience.
