Abstract

Fahri Inayah. The effect of give Briquettes compost and Granular of Water levels, Bulk Density, Soil Strength and the Plant Roots on Swampy Wetland. (Supervised by SITI MASREAH BERNAS dan DWI PROBOWATI SULISTYANI) Plant and resident can be used as compost source of organic material and nutrients is not new to the growth and development of red rice rice. This research has been done before by a composting briquette for one plant. This study aims to determine the effect of composting method of briquettes and crumbs on water content, content density, soil hardness and rooting of rice plants. This research was carried out on the swamp land belonging to Agricultural Faculty of Sriwijaya University starting from October 2016 until December 2016. The treatment used in this research is briquette and crumb compost with dose 15 ton ha-1 and control 0 ton ha-1. This study used 16 plots, each plot measuring 3m x 3m with a 2: 1 legowo java planting system spaced in lines of 20 cm, between 15 cm lines and 30 cm blank line spacing. Each treatment plot contained 168 plants and for plant samples as observation of 6 plants. The results showed that the composting of briquettes and crumbs gave no significant effect on water content, content density and soil hardness. However, in quantitative data, the composting of briquettes and crumbs has a better effect than the control. The growth of rice roots grew slightly compact and horizontal spread more dominant than the perpendicular. There are five plots that died in this study due to pyrite.
