Abstract

The research on the preparation reduced carbon oxide from bark of nature material that is gelam wood bark, onion bark, and jackfruit seed bark by using oxidizing sulfuric acid and ultrasonic reduction. The carbon were characterized to find out morphologhy, functional groups, and crystallography by using SEM, FTIR, and XRD equipment and measurement of conductivity and transparent electrode band gap value. SEM image on reduced carbon oxide of gelam wood bark (rKG) showed that morphology was thin sheets whereas on rBM and rBN showed that morphology of a lump was. Diffraction peak of rKG was appeared at 2θ=23,3° and 43°, rBM at 2θ=18,27° and 28,50°, and rBN at 2θ=37,42°. The result of IR spectrum showed the functional groups of rKG that indicate the existantion of C=C alkenes, C=O, C=C aromatic, and C-H aromatic alkenes, rBM indicate the functional groups –OH, C=C aromatic, C-O carboxylic acid, and C-H aromatic. And rBN indicate the functional groups –OH, C=C aromatic, C-O carboxylic acid, and C-H aromatic. The highest conductivity values obtained on rKG was 3,03 x 10-3 and band gap energy of transparent electrode of overall on rKG was 1,7 eV. This show that the material were semiconductor.
