Abstract
Industry glass continues to experience a significant amount, a large part of which is the downstream industry producing finished / finished products. The products of this glass processing include mirror glass, sheet glass, fiber glass, glass for safety, and various other products.Power sand which has high levels requires processing of minerals to increase levels.Before the process of increasing the silica sand content, a laboratory test of the initial feed content of silica sand is carried out. The tool used in washing silica sand is a shaking table tool. The variations used in the tool are water flow rates of 29 liters / minute, 31 liters / minute, 33 liters / minute, 35 liters / minute and 37 liters / minute and riffle height sizes of 4 mm, 8 mm and -9 mm. After washing from 15 experiments by combining water flowrate and riffle height, obtained the optimal water discharge and riffle height to produce the quality of silica sand according to SNI 15-0131-2006 with SiO2 quality of 99.00% with a recovery value of 87.65%, which is the result of washing the water debit of 37 liters / minute and riffle height -9 mm.
