Abstract

This research about financial feasibility analysis of hydroponic vegetables business in Higrow Farm Palembang on January 2021. This research aims to:(1) Describe the hydroponic vegetable agribusiness system in Higrow Farm Palembang, (2) Analyzing the profit level of the hydroponic vegetable business in Higrow Farm Palembang in the last one year, and (3) Analyzing the financial feasibility and sensitivity of decreasing production levels and increasing operating costs of the hydroponic vegetable business in Higrow Farm Palembang. This research was conducted in Higrow Farm Palembang, South Sumatra. The location selection was done purposively. The research method used in this research is the case study method and sampling method is only to a vegetable business owner Higrow Farm Palembang. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the agribusiness system in the hydroponic vegetable business at Higrow Farm Palembang was implemented effectively and efficiently. The profit level of the hydroponic vegetable was obtained by analyzing the R/C of 1,48>1,00 which means that the business is profitable within one year. Based on the financial feasibility criteria for the hydroponic vegetable business, the NPV value was Rp238.119.874,00, Gross B/C 1,09 and an IRR of 6,32 percent which means that the business is feasible. Meanwhile in the sensitivity analysis, if there is a decrease in the level of production by 8,46 percent and an increase in operational costs by 22,48 percent, then the hydroponic vegetable business is still considered feasible to be cultivated.
