Abstract

The aims of this study are: 1) Analyzing the development of Indonesia’s CPO export, rupiah exchange rate, GDRP, and global price of CPO, and 2) Analyzing factors that affecting the export of CPO in South Sumatera. This study was conducted from October 2020 to December 2020 in South Sumatera Province. This study was carried out using historical research method with time series data from 1st quarter of 2015 to 4th quarter of 2019. The collecting data was done by browsing through the publications on official websites of government and from the Indonesian governments. Data were analyzed with multiple linear regression. The result of this study shows that: 1) The average Indonesia’s CPO export from the first quarter of 2015 to the fourth quarter of 2019 were 1,705,243.25 tonnes. The average CPO exports of South Sumatra Province from the first quarter of 2015 to the fourth quarter of 2019 were 17,516,702.32 kg. The average International CPO price from the first quarter of 2015 to the fourth quarter of 2019 was US $ 677.99 / ton. The average GRDP of South Sumatra Province from the first quarter of 2015 to the fourth quarter of 2019 is 70,832.96 billion rupiah, 2) Rupiah exchange rate, global price of CPO, and CPO export in Indonesia had positive and significant influence on CPO export in South Sumatera Province, while GDRP of South Sumatra Province had negative influence that were not significant on CPO export in South Sumatera Province.
