Abstract

This research was conducted in the tidal land Delta Telang II Desa Mulia Sari P17-5S on TC-6 Banyuasin District, South Sumatra. The time of the study starts from April to July 2018. This study aims to determine the level of infiltration in the use of oil palm trees, rubber land use, and food crop land use. This study uses a detailed level survey method with direct observation to the field to get the value of infiltration rates on three different land uses, namely oil palm plantations, rubber plantations and food crops. Infiltration rate measurement uses the ring method (infiltrometer) to measure the amount of infiltration rate. in each type of land use it has an area of 2 ha, each land use is taken 4 sample points. Analysis of soil samples was carried out at the Soil and Water Conservation and Physics Laboratory and the Soil, Chemical and Soil Fertility Laboratory of the Soil Department of Sriwijaya University. From the results of the study note that oil palm plantations have an average infiltration rate of 16.02 cm per hour (fast), rubber plantations have an average infiltration rate of 18.75 cm per hour (fast), land for food crops has an average rate of infiltration 11.62 cm per hour (medium-fast), the highest average infiltration rate is found in rubber plantations which is 18.75 cm per hour (fast) and the lowest in food crop land is 11.62 cm per hour (medium-fast) ), total pore space, bulk density, organic matter, and% sand fraction have a large influence on the infiltration rate of the soil with a contribution of 97.79% (Adjusted R Squ = 0.9779).
