Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of: (1) firm size as measured by total assets on audit delay, (2) profitability as measured by ROA on audit delay, (3) audit opinion as measured by looking at the type of opinion given by the auditor. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of company annual report. Population of this research are food and baverage companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of 2015 – 2019. The sample selection used purposive sampling method with the total samples are 70 samples. This study used multiple regression analysis with SPSS 20. The result of this study show that profitability and audit opinion have no significant effect on the audit delay. While the firm size variable has a significant negative effect on audit delay
