Abstract

This study was aimed at finding out the linkage between the oil palm plantation and the Indonesian economy using input-output analysis. This study analyzed secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency in the form of tables of the Indonesia Updating 2008 input and output data. The descriptive analysis and input-output analysis were applied to analyze the data. The analysis model of forward and backward linkage was used to interpret the data. The results of this study showed that the oil palm plantation sector had a forward linkage greater than the backward linkage. The value-added component of oil palm plantation sector was the highest component in gross value added.
