Abstract

PT Satria Mayangkara Sejahtera (PT SMS) is a coal mining company located in West Merapi, Lahat, South Sumatra. In an effort to improve environmental quality, PT SMS conducts a series of reclamation activities both technically and economically which are the subject of this research. The location of this research is carried out in disposal areas for the period 2021 – 2024. The aim of this research is technically to plan the use of top soil and the working time, to plan the design of drainage channels and the time of their work, and to plan revegetation activities. Economically, this study aims to plan both direct and indirect costs. The method used is to collect and process primary and secondary data, to obtain appropriate technical and economic planning. From the results of the research, land management activities used 1 unit Sany SY245H hydraulic excavator with a productivity of 183,60 BCM/hour, 3 units of Hino 500 Ranger FM 260 JD dump truck with 66,43 BCM/hour productivity, and 1 unit of tool. displacing the Komatsu D85ESS – 2A bulldozer with a productivity of 82,13 BCM/hour. The total volume of top soil required is 45.850 m3 with a digging time of 249,72 hours, transportation equipment 230,04 hours, and displacing 558,21 hours. For the drainage channel, the trench is made in a trapezoidal shape. The channel dimensions are calculated using the Manning formula. The drainage channel is done using 1 unit of Sany SY215C hydraulic excavator with a productivity of 126,48 BCM/hour. The total time for making drainage channels took 50,35 hours. For revegetation, it begins with preparing the planting holes with oil palm trees (Elaeis guineensis). The total number of plants needed is 1.311 stalks with the need for Trichoderma fertilizer as much as 262,2 kg, Rock Phospate as much as 655,5 kg, and Urea as much as 3.038 kg. The cost of carrying out this reclamation activity requires direct costs of Rp 903.021.608 and indirect costs of Rp 268.648.928. After the costs are escalated, the total cost required during the period 2021 – 2024 is Rp 1.332.942.455.
