Abstract

Kanker anak adalah kanker yang menyerang anak-anak berusia dibawah 18 tahun, termasuk anak yang berada di dalam kandungan. Masalah yang sering dihadapi oleh keluarga dengan anak penderita kanker adalah beban keluarga dan kualitas hidup anak penderita kanker. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara beban keluarga dengan kualitas hidup pada anak penderita kanker. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pemilihan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode total sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 59 responden keluarga dengan anak penderita kanker yang rutin menjalani kemoterapi di Rumah Sakit Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Penelitin ini menggunakan uji chi-square dengan tingkat kemaknaan p = ≤ 0,005 didapatkan hasil p = 0,000. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara beban keluarga dengan kualitas hidup pada anak penderita kanker. Responden paling banyak memiliki kualitas hidup anak yang buruk sebanyak 30 responden anak dengan beban keluarga paling banyak yaitu beban ringan sebanyak 28 responden keluarga. Pediatric cancer is cancer that attacks children under 18 years old, including children in the womb. The problem that is often faced by families with children with cancer is the burden on the family and the quality of life of children with cancer. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family burden and quality of life in children with cancer. The design of this study used andesign observational analytic with aapproach cross sectional. The sample selection in this study used themethod total sampling with a total sample of 59 respondents from families with children with cancer who routinely undergo chemotherapy at the Mohammad Hoesin Hospital in Palembang. This study uses thetest chi-square with a significance level of p = 0.005, the results are p = 0.000. The results showed that there was a relationship between family burden and quality of life in children with cancer. Most respondents have a poor quality of life of children as many as 30 child respondents with the most family burdens, namely light burdens as many as 28 family respondents.
