Abstract

The research aims to determine the effectiveness of a tool that can measure the number of dissolved solids in The Internet of Things (IOT) based on hydroponic plant nutrient water. This research was carried out from January 2021 to May 2021 at the Energy and Electrification Laboratory of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this research is an experimental method with the presentation of the results using descriptive data in the form of tables and graphs. The research method consists of several stages, namely literature study, preparation of tools and materials, system design consisting of hardware design and software design, tool calibration, and tool effectiveness testing. The parameters observed are system design, accuracy, and precision. The results of this study indicate that the TDS measuring instrument can work in a temperature range of 28-32°C with a measurement range of 0-600 ppm, the sensor accuracy level increases from 45.22% to 99.22%, and for precision measurement, the average measurement is 97.97%.
