Abstract

Permata Fresh Mart is a retail and wholesale frozen food and pastry business in the city of Palembang that uses a system called Scan to support its operational activities, namely managing sales transaction data and processing sales transactions with customers at the cashier. Permata Fresh Mart also has other operational activities to support its sales process, such as ordering goods to suppliers, managing inventory, and making reports related to ordering goods and inventory. The aforementioned operational activities have not used a system to support their activities so that they are not integrated and inefficient. This study aims to build a sales information system at Permata Fresh Mart using a user-centered design method that has the concept that the user is the core of the system development process and is expected to create maximum appearance and functionality and have usability values. The user-centered design method used in the design of this sales information system is an interview to determine the functional requirements of the system and usability testing in the form of a questionnaire where respondents who fill out the usability testing questionnaire can provide suggestions or input if the system does not meet their needs.
