Abstract

Hot mix asphalt has an impact on petroleum and has the effect of high CO2 production, thus spurring global warming. Therefore, we need an innovation in asphalt mixtures that can preserve the environment and minimize the negative impact on the environment. The use of the warm mix asphalt method is an innovation that can reduce global warming and exhaust gas emissions. This research uses experimental methods in the form of a standard mixture with the addition of zeolite, a standard mixture with the addition of wax, a warm asphalt mixture with the addition of zeolite and the utilization of waste from the combustion of fly ash furnaces and bottom ash, a mixture of warm asphalt with the addition of wax and the utilization of waste from the combustion of fly ash furnaces. and bottom ash. In this case, fly ash is used as filler substitution and bottom ash is used as sand substitution. The results of the fly ash and bottom ash test have met the General Specifications of Bina Marga 2018 revision 2. A mixture of warm asphalt AC BC-wax and the use of fly ash as a filler substitution and bottom ash as a sand substitution resulted in the highest VMA value of 17.09% meaning that there are many gaps in a mixture containing asphalt so that it becomes water and air resistant. Fly ash and bottom ash can strengthen the bond of aggregate and asphalt, maintain asphalt slip resistance in the aggregate, shear resistance, high intergranular locking. The highest stability and MQ values are stability of 1189.34 kg and MQ of 406.85 kg/mm. A high stability value means that the voids of the mixture are low, so that the gaps between the mixtures can be filled with the material, resulting in strength in the mixture. The lowest optimum asphalt content was obtained in the AC-BC standard asphalt mixture with the addition of zeolite which was 5.1% so that this mixture was more efficient in using asphalt than other mixtures.
