Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the role of hope towards resilience on cancer survivor. The hypothesis of this study includes the role of hope towards resilience. Participants ini this study were 100 cancer survivor from the age of 30-50 years. The sampling technique used is the purposive sampling technique. This study uses two scales as a measure, namely the resilience scale and hope scale that refers to components of resilience from Wagnild and Young (1993) and the components of hope from (Snyder, 2002). Hypothesis testing is done using simple regression analysis. The result of simple regression shows R Square = 0,363, F = 55,841 dan p = 0,000 (p<0,05). This means that hope has a role toward resilience. Thus, the hypothesis could be accepted and hope contribution toward resilience is 36,3%.
