Abstract

Kebutuhan listrik terus meningkat dari waktu ke waktu, dan di sisi lain ketersediaan batubara, minyak dan gas semakin menurun. EBT adalah solusinya, dan biogas adalah salah satunya. Di Science Techno Park, terdapat biogas yang dapat dimanfaatkan yaitu sapi berupa kotorannya. Pada penelitian ini, bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan potensi tersebut dan menjadikannya sebagai energi alternatif atau energi utama di STP. Sapi berjumlah 100 ekor. Menghasilkan kotoran sebesar 15 kg/ekor/hari. Volume produksi biogas 60 m3/hari, potensi listrik dari biogas 440,321 kWh/hari. Digester fiber glass tipe fixed dome 4 buah bervolume 25 m3, diameter 2,92 m dan tinggi 2,119 m. Genset biogas 10 kW dengan effisiensi 27,25% dapat menghemat biaya listrik sebesar Rp.12.138.515,-/tahun. Biaya instalasi yang dibutuhkan sebesar Rp.46.635.000. BEP sebesar Rp.60.623.640,5 sehingga titik impas 5 tahun. Dan ternyata dari hasil analisa dan perhitungan yang dilakukan, potensi biogas ini hanya sebagai enegi alternatif, tidak untuk energi kebutuhan utama.
