Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the effectiveness of working capital consisting of cash turnover, accounts receivable turnover, inventory turnover and working capital turnover on the profitability of plantation sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sampling used the Purposive Sampling technique so that the research sample amounted to 15 companies with a research period from 2015-2019. The design of this research is descriptive quantitative with multiple linear analysis method. The results showed partially cash turnover had a negative and significant effect on profitability, accounts receivable turnover had a positive and significant effect on profitability, inventory turnover had a negative and significant effect on profitability and working capital turnover has no effect on profitability. Meanwhile, simultaneously the regression model used meets statistical standards, therefore the effectiveness of working capital has a positive and significant effect on profitability.
