Abstract
Nowadays, ozone is known as a strong oxidizing agent, so it is widely used on industrial and household scales. Ozone can be produced using the Dielectric Barrier Discharge method. This research was carried out by simulating COMSOL Multiphysics which had previously been carried out by direct ozone reactor experiments by E Yulainto et al. This reactor is cylindrical, consisting of an outer electrode made of aluminum foil, separated by a dielectric made of pyrex glass, and electrodes in a wire mesh cylindrical configuration made of stainless steel. Using the parameters in the application that is heavy species, electrostatic, and drift diffusion so that it can get a discharge atO2 the outputplasma concentration ozon.Pada successful research to simulate the formation of ozone. The ozone concentration that was successfully obtained by using an AC input voltage of 8 kV was 135.921 ppm. Meanwhile, for the highest ozone concentration, the input voltage of DC 8 kV is 128.1658 ppm. Therefore, the results of the ozone concentration simulation have a higher concentration than the experimental results previously conducted by E Yulianto et al.
