Abstract

EPIDEMIOLOGI FAKULTAS KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA Skripsi, Juli 2021 Diah Oktareza DETERMINAN KECEMASAN PADA TENAGA KESEHATAN SELAMA PANDEMI CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) DI KOTA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2021 xviii + 100 halaman, 33 tabel, 4 gambar, 9 lampiran ABSTRAK Angka kasus Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) masih meningkat. Health workers are at the forefront of COVID-19 control and are most vulnerable to contracting it. The provincial capital of South Sumatra, Palembang, became the area with the highest confirmed case. The impact is not only physical, but also impacts on mental health such as anxiety. This is due to various factors, one of which is not adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) according to standards. The purpose of this study is to find out the determinants that affect anxiety in health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic in Palembang in 2021. This type of research is quantitative research with cross sectional study design. The research sample is an active health worker in Palembang with the age of 20-60 years with a total of 374 people. Sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data analysis used is univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis with double logistic regression test of prediction model. The results showed that there was a relationship between the gender (p-value = 0.009), social support (p-value = 0.029) and the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) (p-value = 0.000) against anxiety. While age, status of residence, type of profession, duration of working hours, shift work and history of contact with COVID-19 patients are not related to anxiety. The results of the multivariate analysis showed the gender and availability of PPE meaningfully had a relationship with anxiety. Variable availability of PPE is the most influential factor in anxiety in health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic in Palembang (PR = 7,140 ; 95% CI = 2,604 – 19,578). Cooperation from various parties, including the government is needed in providing psychological support and providing assistance and facilities related to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that have been adapted to standards and risks of hazards in the workplace in order to provide a sense of security at work and reduce the risk of anxiety in health workers.
