Abstract

This title of this research is "The Effectiveness of Online Learning Communication Through Zoom Cloud Meetings in the Era of the Covid-19 pandemic (Comparative Study on Communication Science Students Unsri of 2018 and 2020)". This research aimed to find out how the effectiveness of communication online learning through Zoom Cloud Meetings in Cocid-19 pandemic era which is being done by students of Communication Science Unsri of 2018 and 2020. This research used communication effectiveness theory by Hardjana (2000:23). This research was done with 100 respondents as samples which consist of 50 respondents from students of 2018 and 50 from 2020. Analysis technique in this research used comparative technique using Mann Whitney statistic test. Data collection in this research used questionnaire, observation, and documentation study. The results of this research indicated that the effectiveness of online learning communication through Zoom Cloud Meetings was done by Unsri Communication Science students of 2018 and 2020 had been effectively running with a score of 188.9 for the 2018 class and a score of 182.4 for the 2020 class. In addition, there was no significant difference in the effectiveness of communication between the 2018 and 2020 classes with the significance result being at the 0.054 level.
