Abstract

This study focuses on how the determinants that influence muzakki choose where to pay zakat in the city of Palembang. The data used in the study, namely primary data obtained through questionnaires and interviews in sampling using the purposive sampling method in January to May 31, 2021, then the sample that has complied with the criteria amounted to 80 respondents. The research analysis technique uses logit regression. The results of this study indicate that based on the logit regression assumption that the probability of a muzakki's decision to pay zakat in a formal institution is 13 percent, as well as for the income variable of the head of the family, knowledge of zakat, and age of the muzakki, it is positive and significant while the variable number of family members shows a significant relationship. negative and significant to the decision of muzakki to choose a place to pay zakat in the city of palembang.
