Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) to calculate and analyze the productivity and income of rubber farmers who are PMU members and non-PMU members in Rejodadi Village before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. (2) to calculate and analyze the difference in income between rubber farmers who are PMU members and non-PMU members in Rejodadi Village before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. (3) to analyze the factors that affecting the decision of rubber farmers to become or refuse to become members of the PMU in Rejodadi Village, Sembawa District, Banyuasin Regency. Data collection was carried out in December 2020 to February 2021. The results of this study indicate that (1) The productivity and income of rubber farmers who are PMU members and non-PMU members are greater before the pandemic than during the Covid-19 pandemic. (2) The income of rubber farmers who are PMU member is greater than that of non-PMU member with difference of Rp. 212,289.23, but there is no significant difference. (3) The factors that significantly affecting the rubber farmer's decision to become a member of the UPPB in Rejodadi Village are age, education, land area, and farming experience.
