Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang proyeksikan jumlah penduduk Provinsi Sumatera Selatan pada tahun 2020 menggunakan metode aritmatika dan metode geometri. Data yang digunakan adalah data tahun 2010, 2015 dan 2020 menurut umur dan jenis kelamin. Hasil proyeksi penduduk Provinsi Sumatera Selatan pada tahun 2020 berdasarkan metode aritmatika yaitu sebesar 8.722.436 jiwa, sedangkan berdasarkan metode geometri sebesar 8.181.701 jiwa. Berdasarkan perhitungan MAPE, metode terbaik untuk proyeksi penduduk Provinsi Sumatera Selatan pada tahun 2030 adalah metode geometri. Rasio ketergantungan penduduk Provinsi Sumatera Selatan pada tahun 2030 sebesar 53% artinya 100 orang berusia produktif menanggung 53 orang yang berusia non produktif.
