Abstract

The spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus as the cause of Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) has killed around 1800 people and infected more than 70,000 people in the first fifty days of the epidemic. Indonesia has made every effort in order to prevent Covid-19 in Indonesia. However, the Covid-19 confirmed cases always increasing, therefore it is very important to implement all efforts to prevent Covid-19, especially for society who work at the Yada Traditional Market in Palembang City where the population is at risk of contacting Covid-19. The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk factors that influence the behavior of preventing Covid-19. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional study design. The number of respondents in this study was 110 samples selected using a simple random sample method. The data were analyzed bivariately using the Chi-Square test and the results showed that the risk factors that influenced the Covid-19 prevention behavior included age, education level and knowledge. The conclusion of this study, traders have behaved well in the behavior of preventing Covid-19 behavior by 52.7% and bad behavior by 47.3%. Suggestions from this research, it is still necessary to increase the prevention behavior of Covid-19 on traders at the Yada Traditional Market.
