Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis sel bahan bakar berbentuk pin dalam dua jenis bahan bakar campuran yaitu Uranium-Plutonium-Nitrida dan Uranium-Plutonium-Zirkonium. Setiap bahan bakar dilakukan variasi dengan mengubah persentase kandungan Uranium-235 sebanyak 0% hingga 10%. Menggunakan metode Monte Carlo dalam kode program OpenMC, perhitungan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan faktor multiplikasi efektif, laju reaksi fisi, dan distribusi fluks neutron selama 2 tahun burn-up. Hasil perhitungan untuk faktor multiplikasi efektif dan laju reaksi fisi menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar pengayaan Uranium semakin besar pula nilai kedua parameter tersebut. Untuk perhitungan distribusi fluks neutron pada sel bahan bakar memiliki nilai tertinggi pada area tengah bahan bakar dan nilainya semakin kecil ke arah pinggir sel. Dengan dilakukannya analisis sel bahan bakar ini agar nantinya dapat digunakan sebagai acuan dalam penyusunan sel bahan bakar dalam teras reaktor yang aman dan efisien.
