Abstract

Uji toksisitas khusus dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi lebih lanjut tentang keamanan ekstrak etanol daun sukun, salah satunya yaitu uji teratogenik untuk mengetahui keamanan ekstrak bila dikonsumsi ibu hamil. Dosis yang diberikan beragam, mulai dari 200, 400, 600, dan 1600 mg/kgBB. Pemberian ekstrak dilakukan pada fase organogenesis heri ke-9 sampai hari ke-17 kehamilan, pada hari ke-18 induk mencit dibedah untuk diamati fetus hidup, fetus mati, implantasi, resorpsi, berat badan fetus, panjang fetus, kelainan eksternal fetus, dan kelainan internal fetus. Hasil analisis data dengan ANOVA, DMRT (Duncan multiple range test), Kruskal Walis and Mann Whitney menunjukkan pemberian ekstrak berpengaruh nyata terhadap fetus hidup fetus mati, kenaikan berat badan induk, berat badan fetus, hemoragi, interparietal, badan vertebra sakrokaudalis, lengkung vertebra sakrokaudalis, falang proksimal dan intermediet anterior, falang proksimal posterior, dan falang intermediet posterior (Pvalue>0.05). Pada pemberian ekstrak pada dosis 200 mg/kgBB sudah menimbulkan efek teratogenik sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun sukun memiliki efek teratogenik terhadap perkembangan fetus mencit (Mus musclus).
